bulldoggers.net

Well, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a domain name and a hosting service. Bulldoggers.net will be the reincarnation of my UGA football blog that I hope will be ready well before the 2005 season kicks off.

I am surprised at how easy it is to register a domain name. I think I paid $8.95 for bulldoggers.net with godaddy.com and $3.95 a month to host it. That's really not overly expensive to have a unique address on the Web...something other than somethingsomething.blogspot.com. The only trick was actually finding a decent name. I tried bulldogs.com, bulldogs.net, godogs.com, godogs.net, bulldogcafe.com. I could have purchased bulldogcorner.com, but it seemed a little too cheesy. So, I went with bulldoggers.net even though I have no idea what a bulldogger is... sounds a little kinky if you ask me.

Now, the real work of redesigning the site begins.
