Yahoo Mail Beta - Finally

I really like the new Yahoo Mail interface. Is it enough to get me to switch back from Gmail? Probably not.

Bike Upgrades

I think that during the cycling offseason, I would like to do some hardware upgrades for my mountain bike. I have a 2003 Haro ICS 4 with Rockshox Judy TT front fork. I really need to raise my stem/handlebar. I've realized that I'm putting too much weight on my arms and back.

front fork: Marzocchi MX Comp ETA - $349
handlebars: Bontrager Crow Bar - $30

12/29 update:

bought Easton EA50 Monkey Bar handle bars.

Fire Michael Brown!

The federal government's collosal failure to react to the crisis left by Hurricane Katrina was unacceptable. A lot of the blame for FEMA's unbelievably slow response falls on Michael Brown, and I believe that it is the duty of President Bush to fire him... at a minimum. He should be sued by survivors in Louisiana who lost loved ones, home, and the lives they knew because FEMA did not react.

I am not going to write a long post filled with quotes from Michael Brown or list his misdeeds because there are lot of people who have already done that. For more information, check out the following:

Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina is expected to hit land early tomorrow morning.  Our prayers are with the people living along the path of this storm.  It's a category 5 storm and is expected to do a lot of damage.
